The Perfect Greek Island Honey Moon Itinerary

Honeymooning in Greece? Here's my perfect 10-day itinerary, featuring Paros and Santorini.

If you're a first-time visitor to Greece, you'll most likely fly into Athens. While Athens has a lot of history, it's not my personal favorite city. I recommend exploring Athens the day you land (push through that jet lag!) and seeing the Acropolis, Parthenon, and Plaka. Since you're there, you should see it, but I recommend catching an early flight or ferry the next morning.

Whenever someone tells me they're traveling to Greece, I immediately say they must go to Paros. My grandfather had a house on the island, so I might be biased, but no one who's taken my advice has been disappointed. Paros is a truly versatile island. It has beautiful beaches, great nightlife and beach clubs, a gorgeous town, and it's fairly easy to get around. For your honeymoon, this is the first island I'd recommend. You can start with a fun, vibrant vibe—beach hopping by day, exploring the town and great restaurants at night, and hitting a club to end the day, if that's your thing.

Santorini is also a must-do for a honeymoon. It's magnificently beautiful and the perfect place to end your trip with a romantic and relaxing stay at a stunning hotel overlooking the Mediterranean.

Important Notes:

  • Flights: Book flights well in advance, especially during peak season. Consider using flight comparison websites to find the best deals.
